Exhibition:
- The best pictures may be part of environmental awareness exhibitions in the future, which will be accompanying significant events and will be presented in travelling exhibitions as well.
Statement of the Organizing committee:
"The following exhibition, which is only available online, was opened on the occasion of Earth Day 2024 and presents the creations deemed the most outstanding by the professional jury, received from more than 50 countries for our international environmental protection caricature competition called Package until wreckage organized by our company. It is both thought-provoking and eloquent that people living in a Hungarian village, a Chinese metropolis or even a South American island encounter the same challenges, but how diverse their experience, representation and context can be. Our international caricature competition, which looks back over a decade and deals with a wide variety of topics of sustainability and environmental protection, focuses this year on the excessive amount of packaging waste generated in households and the consequences and problems related to it.
STKH's international caricature exhibition draws attention to a pressing problem on Earth Day, which is not only worth thinking about, but it is time to rethink how we relate to packaging. Can we live with less packaging material? Or do we drown in beautiful, practical, necessary packaging materials? The works below highlight that it is time for us to take responsibility for our waste and for all of us to act more environmentally conscious, if we do not want to be buried under our own waste sooner or later."
