I attach the appeal and the letter sent to the President (mayor) of the Municipal Chamber of Porto, written by Luiz Humberto Marcos, former director of the Museum (MNI) in response to the closure since August 2022 of the Museu Nacional da Imprensa, organizer of PortoCartoon , and the terrible current threat to make it disappear permanently.
It is necessary to raise a wave of solidarity in the world of graphic humor and cartoonists to request that this not happen, and that the Museum open its doors again, and the PortoCartoon be held.
